Handmade Wm. S. Haynes solid silver flute number 23,993 ( 1954 ). French keywork to low B, length is 636 mm (A = 440), the tube thickness is .012 ( ! ) inches and the embouchure measures 10.3 X 12.1, giving the instrument a rich mezzo-soprano voice. Total weight is 419 grams. All pads and corks are new. Sold with a new Haynes leather case.

The instrument is somewhat unique, having been built not in usual .014 silver tube, but in lightweight .012. The tone-color produced is bright and cheerful and would be well-suited for solo or concert use.
