A solid silver flute made during the ownership of the firm by the Haynes family.


Serial number is 24,951 (1955)


Soldered tone-holes, plateau keywork to low C, offset plateau G.


We measure the thickness of the silver tube as .014 inches


Embouchure measures 10.2 X 12.0 mm.


Sounding length is 598 mm, the head has not been shortened.


Original pad retainers. Pads and corks are new.


Case is solid, appears to be the original.



Total weight is 435 grams.


The instrument offers a superb dark and full tone-color, with a magnificent low register. The plateau keywork is comfortable to the fingers and the feel of the mechanism is firm. In our opinion, this one is a 9.9 on a scale of ten.
